Hi, I'm Howard — though most people just call me H.

I was lucky enough to be born into a family for whom sports and motorsport weren't a hobby, they were a way of life. Before I even arrived, my parents were out marshalling events like the RAC Rally. Growing up, race weekends were family occasions — BTCC, Formula 1, the four of us piling in together: Mum, Dad, my brother Russell, and me. Mum still hasn't missed an F1 weekend on TV to this day.

Dad and his closest friend — my godfather, Uncle Julian — were both passionate photographers. They'd take the time to walk me through camera settings, explaining what each one did and what effect it would have on the final image. This was the 35mm wet film era, of course: no instant preview, no editing in post. You had to get it right in camera, or Boots would cheerfully attach their little sticker of shame to the pictures you'd desperately tried to capture.

The business carries Julian's initials — JBP — in his memory and in his honour. I could have used my dad's initials instead, but with the letters GT and a focus on motorsport, I had a feeling someone might already have that covered.

Fast forward to today, and the passion still burns. Photography, motorsport, and adrenaline — snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking, scuba — these are my world. I want to be there at your event, your race, your moment on the mountain, and turn it into a stunning visual memory that lasts a lifetime.
